Uniceub/BRB stayed alive in the race for the South American League Finals. The Brazilian powerhouse rolled past Tiburones to improve at 1-1 record in Group E. They will now take on Pinheiros/Sky today in the decider. Tiburones fell at 0-2 record in the pool. Arthur Silva (199-F/G-82) came up with 26 points to pace the winners.
Uniceub/BRB started the game strongly. They exploded with 34 points in the first frame to gain a 17-point lead. The Brazilian team maintained the advantage throughout the second quarter. They established a 58:40 halftime advantage. Uniceub/BRB stayed red-hot offensively in the third term. They dropped 29 points to ensure a 25-point buffer heading into the final stanza. Tiburones outscored their opponents in the final term to sweeten the pill. Isaac Goncalves (193-F/G-90) and Alex Ribeiro (191-G-80, agency: Interperformances) finished with 15 points each for the winners. Axiers Sucre (200-F-78) responded with 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Venezuelan team. Alejandro Barrios (205-C-79) netted 21 points in the loss.

CR Vasco Da Gama Rio de Janeiro (NBB) landed center Rafael De Araujo (204). He played in the summer at Tijuca Tenis Clube Rio de Janeiro in the Carioca. The last season De Araujo was tested by Pozo Soton BVM 2012 Mieres (LEB Silver) in Spanish league.
He was a member of Brazilian U16 National Team two years ago.

Former international Shooting guard Betinho Nardi Duarte (195-SG-88) had a very impressive game in the last round for Campo Mourao, receiving a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 20. The 28-year old player was the main contributor (26 points, five rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Macae (#15, 3-16) 91-78. The round 20 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. NBB top team - Brasilia (14-5) managed to deliver another win on Tuesday. This time they beat tenth ranked Paulistano (8-11) 85-76. Brasilia looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Brasilia made 8 blocks. 25 personal fouls committed by Paulistano helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
