Olivinha
Rodriguez
29-year old forward Olivinha Rodriguez (202-F-83) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team Flamengo and receives a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 15.
He had a double-double of 13 points and 15 rebounds, while his team outclassed Suzano (#17, 2-12) with 31-point margin 105-74. It allowed Flamengo to consolidate first place in the Brazilian league. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Flamengo keeps perfect 13 -0 record. Rodriguez turned to be Flamengo's top player in his first season with the team. Rodriguez has impressive league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 9.7rpg. Rodriguez is in league's top in and averages solid 64.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Fulvio de Assis (187-G-81) of S.Jose/Unimed. He is naturalized Italian guard in his 4th season at S.Jose/Unimed. In the last game de Assis recorded impressive double-double of 18 points and 13 assists. Of course he lead S.Jose/Unimed to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Franca (#4, 10-5) 87-66. This victory allowed S.Jose/Unimed to move up to 6th position in . His team lost some distance to top teams. But 9-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. de Assis is one of the most experienced players at S.Jose/Unimed and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Welington Dos Santos (185-PG-81) of Brasilia (#5). Dos Santos showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, five rebounds and ten assists (!!!) in the last round. He was a key player of Brasilia, leading his team to a 92-77 easy win against the lower-ranked Basquete Cearense (#8, 8-6). Brasilia needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Round 3. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 3 lost games. Dos Santos has a great season in Brazil. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.7ppg (7th best) and assists with 6.1apg (2nd best).

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
