Ginastico B.Horizont basketball team continue to build their roster, the managers of the team have agreed with five more players for the dispute of Brazil Cup.
The point guard Bernardo Barreto (183-PG-83), the small forward Bruno da Silva (205-F-81, college: W.Florida) and Luis Fernando Lima (193-G-93), and the forward Gedson Thawan (202-F-91) and center Luis Fernando de Souza (210-C-78) are the new faces of the team.
Luis Fernando de Souza is back on basketball after a few years of retirement, the player has a lot of experience and should be a reference in that group.
Bernardo Barreto is a very knowing local player from Minas Gerais State that has played for almost all teams in the region.
Gedson Thawan is a young player that was formed in the rival club the Olympico and is now ready to start getting playing time in the professional level.
Bruno is a forward that can open to shoot the three point, his last club was the Vila Velha.
Luis Fernando is a young talent formed by the young bascis team of Araraquara who is looking to get his feet wet on the Pro-Level.

Botafogo F.R. (Liga Ouro) agreed terms with 32-year old American point guard Jamaal Smith (175-85, college: N.Mexico). He played last season at S.Jose/Unimed in the Paulista. In 18 games he had 10.4ppg, 2.4rpg and 2.8apg. In 2012 (four years after he left the college) Smith was drafted by Oshawa Power (NBL Canada) in third round (20th overall). We bring you last week's top performances from Brazilians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. This week's number one is former international center Hatila Passos (211-85). He could not help Malvin (5-6) in their last game. Brusque Basquete/ADB (Liga Ouro) agreed terms with 33-year old forward Fernando Henrique (201-84). He played last summer at Angra in the Carioca League. Henrique's team made it to the Brazilian Supercup Final Four in 2012. He has spent his entire career in Brazil playing for eight other teams: Sao Caetano, Osasco Basquete, Sao Caetano, APABA/S.Andre, Internacional, Jacarei, Campo Mourao and Lins.
