Mogi das Cruzes claimed Paulista League title. They knocked down Bauru at home court to complete the sweep of the championship series. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 23-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Naturalized American Shamell Stallworth (195-80, college: USF, agency: Interperformances) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Larry Taylor (185-80, college: Missouri Western) chipped in 10 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Mogi players scored in double figures. International guard Alex Garcia (191-80, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and the former international center Rafael Hettsheimer (206-86) scored 16 points.
