Duarte
Former international Shooting guard Betinho Nardi Duarte (195-SG-88) had a very impressive game in the last round for Campo Mourao, receiving a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (26 points, five rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Macae (#15, 3-16) 91-78. Campo Mourao is placed at 7th position in Brazilian NBB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Campo Mourao will need more victories to improve their 11-8 record. In the team's last game Nardi Duarte had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Campo Mourao's top player in his first season with the team. Betinho Nardi Duarte averages this season 20.0ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was 36-year old American Shamell Stallworth (195-SG-80, agency: Interperformances) of Mogi. Stallworth had a very good evening with 29 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Mogi lost that game 87-96 to the higher-ranked Flamengo (#2, 13-5). This loss caused Mogi to drop to 9th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 11-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Stallworth is one of the most experienced players at Mogi and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.3ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 4.3rpg and 3.4apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was former international Murilo Becker (211-C/F-83) of Vasco Da G. (#6). Becker scored 20 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Vasco Da G., leading his team to a 82-77 win against Campo Mourao (11-8). Vasco Da G. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 8 lost games. Becker has a very solid season. In 19 games in Brazil he scored 10.7ppg. He also has 5.0rpg and FGP: 51.9%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Fulvio de Assis (188-PG-81) of Brasilia - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists
5. Olivinha Rodriguez (203-F-83) of Flamengo - 16 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Jefferson Andrade (207-PF-83) of Bauru - 22 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Isaac Thornton (190-G-91) of Campo Mourao - 22 points and 3 assists
8. Alex Garcia (191-G-80) of Bauru - 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists

10. Guilherme Giovannoni (203-PF-80) of Brasilia - 19 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
