We bring you last week's top performances from Brazilians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is former international center Hatila Passos (211-85, college: N.Mexico St., currently plays in Uruguay). He could not help Malvin (5-6) in their last game. Despite Passos' good performance the fifth-placed Malvin (5-6) lost 70-77 on the road to the second-ranked Aguada in the Promocional 1 group. He was the second best scorer with 14 points. Passos also added 8 rebounds in 35 minutes on the court. The Second Stage already ended. It's Passos' first season with the team. This year he averages: 9.7ppg, 10.7rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 64.2%(95-148) and FT: 53.1% in 25 games he played so far. Former Paulistano/Unimed Sao Paolo starter played for the Brazilian senior national team seven years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international power forward Cristiano Felicio (206-92, college: Oregon, currently plays in NBA). Felicio contributed to a Chicago Bulls' victory against the Toronto Raptors (33-24) 105-94 in the NBA last Tuesday. He scored 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The Chicago Bulls have 28-29 record this season. Felicio's overall stats this year are: 4.8ppg, 4.9rpg, 2FGP: 55.3%(89-161) and FT: 66.2%. Ex-Clube de Regatas do Flamengo player is in the roster of the Brazilian senior national team.

   #3. The Brazilian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international center Nene Hilario (211-82, currently plays in NBA). He was not able to help the Houston Rockets in their game against the Miami Heat (25-32) in the NBA. Hilario recorded 8 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 20 minutes. The Houston Rockets (40-18) lost 109-117 in Miami to the Heat. They ended the series of four consecutive victories. Hilario has relatively good stats this year: 8.1ppg, 3.9rpg, 2FGP: 61.6%(149-242), 3FGP: 42.9% and FT: 59.0% in 48 games. He is also a member of the Brazilian senior national team.

Forward Tulio Da Silva (201-96, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA was not able to secure a victory for the S.Florida (1-12) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Da Silva's very good performance the S.Florida was crushed 94-71 at home by the Tulane University. He scored 17 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. There are only three games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Da Silva's overall stats this season are: 9.8ppg and 7.0rpg. He used to play for the Brazilian U18 national team back in 2014.

   #5. Former international center Lucas Nogueira (213-92, currently plays in NBA) faced previously mentioned Cristiano Felicio in the NBA last game. Nogueira couldn't help the Toronto Raptors (33-24) in their game against the Chicago Bulls (28-29). He scored 7 points. The Toronto Raptors (33-24) were defeated 105-94 in Chicago by the Bulls. It was Raptors' third consecutive loss in a row. Nogueira's overall stats this season are: 5.3ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.8bpg. He used to play for the Brazilian national team six years ago.

Despite Jeronimo's very good performance Gimnasia LP (#6) was defeated 102-97 on their home court in La Plata by the second-ranked Alianza Viedma in the Center South group. He was the top scorer with 23 points. Jeronimo also added 9 rebounds and made 4 blocks. The Regular Season already ended. Jeronimo's total stats this season are: 9.9ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.5bpg. He used to play for the Brazilian U19 national team eight years ago.

   #8. Forward Leonardo Demetrio (203-94, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Lleida Basquet (13-11) in their last game. Despite his good performance Lleida Basquet was edged 74-73 in Prat by the lower-ranked (#14) CB Prat. Demetrio scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 21 minutes. This year Demetrio has relatively solid stats: 11.0ppg and 5.7rpg in 24 games. He plays currently for the Brazilian national team.

Former international small forward Jonathan Tavernari (197-87, college: BYU, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Mens Sana 1871 (12-10) in their game against Legnano (14-8) in the Italian Serie A2 (second division). Tavernari recorded 5 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Mens Sana 1871 (#8) was edged 57-55 in Castellanza by the higher-ranked Legnano (#3) in the West group. Tavernari has reliable stats this season: 10.3ppg and 4.4rpg. He used to play for the Brazilian national team seven years ago.

This year Neto averages just 2.2ppg in 29 games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Brazilian National Team roster.

   #11. Former international center Lucas Tischer (208-83, currently plays in Chile) was the major contributor in a CD Tinguiririca San Fernando's victory against the fourth-ranked Puente Alto 82-78 in the Chilean Liga Nacional last Sunday. Tischer recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 10 rebounds. Tischer has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 15.6ppg, 9.6rpg and 2.8apg. Tischer used to play for the Brazilian national team eleven years ago.

   #12. International point guard Marcelinho Huertas (191-83, currently plays in NBA) faced previously mentioned Leandro Barbosa in the NBA last game. Huertas couldn't help the Los Angeles Lakers in their game against the Phoenix Suns. He cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones. Huertas recorded only 2 points in 9 minutes on the court. His team were crushed by 36 points 137-101 in the NBA. This year Huertas' total stats are: 2.7ppg and 2.3apg in 23 games. He is also in the roster of the Brazilian national team.

   #13. Former U18 international center Lucas Siewert (202-97, currently studies in the States) couldn't help the Colorado in their game against the University of Oregon in the NCAA. Siewert cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 3 points. His team was crushed by 28 points 101-73. Siewert has averaged so far 2.4ppg and 2.2rpg. He used to play for the Brazilian U18 national team three years ago.

   #14. Former international guard Carlos Cobos (193-88, currently plays in Spain) helped CB Granada win their game against one of league's weakest teams Albacete crushing them 92-57 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) last Saturday. Cobos scored 5 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Cobos has averaged so far 7.8ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.1apg and 1.3spg. He used to play for the Brazilian national team back in 2010.

   #15. Former U19 international forward Dimitris Sousa (198-94, currently plays in NCAA2) couldn't help the The University of Virginia Coll. Wise in their game against the Urbana University in the NCAA2. Despite his very good performance last Saturday He recorded 20 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. This season Sousa has very high stats. He averages: 17.2ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.1apg. Sousa used to play for the Brazilian U19 national team eight years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Brazilian passport but never been selected to any of Brazilian national teams:

   #1. Diego Soarez (205-C-87, currently plays in Uruguay) led U Universitario to a victory against the eighth-ranked Trouville (2-9) 91-80 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB last Friday. Soarez scored 11 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 31 minutes. Urunday Universitario (9-2) is placed first in Promocional 1 group. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. The Second Stage already ended. This year Soarez's overall stats are: 4.0ppg and 3.6rpg in 24 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Brazilian and Uruguayan.

   #2. Gabriel Andrade (185-G-93, currently plays in NCAA2) could not help the BYU-Hawaii (4-14) in their last game. Despite Andrade's very good performance the BYU-Hawaii lost 88-94 on the road to the Fresno Pacific University. He scored 17 points, grabbed 4 boards, handed out 7 passes and blocked 2 shots in 26 minutes. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA2. Andrade is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in BYU-Hawaii's roster. This season Andrade's total stats are: 7.6ppg, 1.8rpg, 1.8apg and 1.6spg in 17 games.

   #3. Felipe Dos Anjos (218-C-98, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Oviedo CB (16-8) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance Oviedo CB was edged 107-104 in Lugo by the lower-ranked Leche Rio Breogan (#5). Dos Anjos scored 10 points, had 8 rebounds and made 4 blocks. Dos Anjos' total stats this season are: 9.0ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.3bpg.

   #4. Experienced Kazuya Hatano (192-F-82, currently plays in Japan) managed to help Ryukyu Golden Kings Okinawa in a victory against the fourth-ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (17-19) 78-63 in the Japanese B League last Saturday. Hatano scored only 3 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 20 minutes. Ryukyu Golden Kings Okinawa (16-22) is placed fifth in West group. Hatano has averaged so far 3.1ppg and 2.9rpg in 36 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Brazilian and Japanese.

   #5. Jose Libiano (206-F, currently plays in NCAA2) was not able to secure a victory for the SE Oklahoma State University (3-14) in their game against the Southern Nazarene University in the NCAA2. Libiano scored 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. his team was defeated 78-74 in Bethany by the Southern Nazarene University. There are only two games left until the end of the NCAA2 Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Libiano has averaged so far 1.3ppg and 1.9rpg.

   #6. Rafael Barbosa (191-F-91, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Barbera in their game against Mollet in the Spanish EBA (fourth division). He scored only 4 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 23 minutes. His team lost 73-82. Barbosa has averaged so far 5.8ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.1apg in 17 games. He has both Brazilian and Spanish nationalities.

   #7. Lucas Doria (201-F-97, currently plays in NCAA2) couldn't help the St.Edward's University in their game against the Arkansas-Fort Smith in the NCAA2. Doria scored 5 points in 8 minutes. His team lost 90-96 in the NCAA2. Doria has averaged so far 3.0ppg and 2.0rpg in 16 games.

   #8. Felipe Souza (198-F-98, currently plays in NCAA2) couldn't help the Nova Southeastern University in their game against the Embry Riddle University in the NCAA2. He cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones. Souza recorded only 3 points. His team was crushed by 21 points 80-59 in the NCAA2. Souza has averaged so far 1.3ppg and 1.6rpg. He is a naturalized American. Strangely Souza has never played in Brazil.

   #9. Renato Ribeiro (190-F-95, currently plays in Portugal) couldn't help Guifoes in their game against Sanjoanense in the Portuguese Proliga (second division). He scored 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 23 minutes. His team was edged 73-71. Ribeiro has averaged so far 5.6ppg and 3.9rpg in 17 games.

   #10. Rafael De Souza (193-G, currently plays college basketball in the States) couldn't help the N.Iowa in their game against the Wichita State University in the NCAA. He cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. De Souza scored only 2 points. His team was crushed by 29 points 73-44. This season De Souza averages just .

33-year old point guard Paulinho Boracini (183-PG-84) put on an amazing game in the last round for B.Cearense and receives a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7. He had the game-high 27 points adding five rebounds and five assists for B.Cearense in his team's victory, helping them to beat Vasco Da G. (#15, 1-5) 85-76. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, derby games and games ending by tiny margin. The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Mogi (6-1) on the court of fourth ranked Caxias do Sul on Thursday night. Visitors were edged by Caxias do Sul 66-65.
