Stallworth
36-year old shooting guard Shamell Stallworth (195-SG-80, agency: Interperformances) put on an amazing game in the last round for Mogi and receives a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 22.
He had the game-high 33 points adding seven rebounds and three assists for Mogi in his team's victory, helping them to beat B.Cearense (#11, 9-11) 85-77. Mogi is placed at 5th position in Brazilian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Mogi will need more victories to improve their 13-8 record. In the team's last game Stallworth had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Mogi, through which he has constantly improved. University of San Francisco graduate has very impressive stats this year. Stallworth is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.3ppg. Stallworth is in league's top in and averages solid 54.5% FGP and 48.5% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Betinho Nardi Duarte (195-SG-88) of Campo Mourao. He is former international guard in his first season at Campo Mourao. In the last game Nardi Duarte recorded impressive 25 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Campo Mourao lost that game 79-86 to the higher-ranked Vitoria (#3, 14-6). This loss caused Campo Mourao to drop to 9th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 11-10 record is not bad and everything may still change. Nardi Duarte is a newcomer at Campo Mourao and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard George Lucas (195-PG-96) of Paulistano (#10). Lucas scored 26 points and passed four assists. He was a key player of Paulistano, leading his team to a 85-65 easy win against the lower-ranked Macae (#15, 4-18). Paulistano needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 11 lost games. Lucas has a very solid season. In 19 games in Brazil he scored 11.9ppg. He also has 4.3rpg and 4.2apg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Lucas Mariano (208-C/F-93) of Brasilia - 24 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Desmond Holloway (191-G-90) of Pinheiros - 23 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Arthur Bernardi (206-F-90) of Caxias do Sul - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Jefferson Andrade (207-PF-83) of Bauru - 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Guilherme Giovannoni (203-PF-80) of Brasilia - 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists

10. Diego Conceicao (200-F-87) of Caxias do Sul - 16 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
