We bring you last week's top performances from Brazilians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is former international center Vitor Faverani (212-88, currently plays in Spain). He led FC Barcelona to a 3-point victory over the 15th-ranked UCAM Murcia (7-15) 73-70 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game. Faverani was MVP of the game. He scored 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 24 minutes on the court. FC Barcelona Lassa (15-6) is placed fourth in the Liga Endesa. Faverani has relatively good stats this year: 10.2ppg, 5.2rpg, 2FGP: 59.3%(16-27), 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 69.6% in five games he played so far. He played for the Brazilian senior national team four years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced international center Nene Hilario (211-82, currently plays in NBA). Hilario led Houston Rockets to an easy victory against the Los Angeles Clippers (38-25) 122-103 in the NBA last Wednesday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 10 rebounds. The Houston Rockets have a solid 44-20 record this season. It's Hilario's first year with the team. This year Hilario has relatively solid stats: 8.5ppg, 4.0rpg, 2FGP: 62.6%(176-281), 3FGP: 42.9% and FT: 59.3%. He is in the roster of the Brazilian senior national team.

   #3. The Brazilian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Leandro Barbosa (190-82, currently plays in NBA). Barbosa led Phoenix Suns to an easy victory against the Charlotte Hornets (29-34) 120-103 in the NBA on Thursday night. He recorded 16 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 23 minutes. The Phoenix Suns have not so impressive 21-42 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Barbosa's overall stats are: 6.0ppg, 1.5rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 47.2%, 3FGP: 37.5% and FT: 87.5% in 59 games. He is also a member of the Brazilian senior national team.

   #4. Center Augusto Lima (207-91, currently plays in Euroleague). Lima could not help Zalgiris (10-14) to beat Fenerbahce (16-8). He scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The tenth-placed Zalgiris (10-14) was defeated 76-67 at home by the higher-ranked Fenerbahce (#5) in the group A of Euroleague. It's Lima's first season with the team. Lima's total stats this year are: 4.9ppg and 3.9rpg. He is also Brazilian national team player.

   #5. Former international point guard Scott Machado (186-90, college: Iona, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help La ICL Manresa (3-19) in their last game. Despite Machado's very good performance the bottom-ranked La ICL Manresa lost 77-85 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#8) Andorra. He was the top scorer with 20 points in 29 minutes. It was La ICL Manresa's fifth consecutive loss in a row. This year Machado's total stats are: 7.8ppg, 2.1rpg, 3.2apg and 1.4spg in 11 games. He is a naturalized American. Machado used to play for the Brazilian national team four years ago. Strangely he has never played in Brazil.

   #6. Center Lucas Siewert (202-97, currently plays college basketball in the States) led Colorado to an easy victory against the Stanford University (15-2) 91-72 in the NCAA on Thursday night. Siewert scored 15 points. The University of Colorado has 5-8 conference record this season. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. Siewert has averaged so far 2.9ppg and 2.1rpg. He is a former U18 international player as he played for the Brazilian team three years ago.

   #7. International power forward Cristiano Felicio (206-92, college: Oregon, currently plays in NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Chicago Bulls (31-32) in their game against the Los Angeles Clippers (38-25) in the NBA. Felicio scored 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 15 minutes. The Chicago Bulls (31-32) lost 91-101 in Los Angeles to the Clippers. Felicio has averaged so far 4.9ppg and 4.9rpg in 54 games. He is also Brazilian national team player.

   #8. Forward Tulio Da Silva (201-96, currently studies in the States), who plays in the NCAA couldn't help the S.Florida (1-12) in their last game on Thursday. Despite Da Silva's good performance the S.Florida was edged 59-56 in Orlando by the University of Central Florida. He scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. Da Silva has reliable stats this season: 10.1ppg and 6.9rpg. He used to play for the Brazilian U18 national team back in 2014.

   #9. Former international center Lucas Tischer (208-83, currently plays in Chile) couldn't help CD Tinguiririca San Fernando (20-2) in their last game. Despite Tischer's very good performance CD Tinguiririca San Fernando lost 83-89 in Quilpue to the leading Los Leones in the Conferencia Centro. He was the top scorer with 25 points. Tischer also added 7 rebounds in 40 minutes. Tischer has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.4ppg, 8.3rpg and 3.0apg in nine games. Tischer used to play for the Brazilian national team eleven years ago.

   #10. Shooting guard Vitor Benite (194-90, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Spain) faced previously mentioned Vitor Faverani in the Spanish Liga Endesa last game. Benite couldn't help UCAM Murcia (7-15) in their game against FC Barcelona (15-6). He cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. Benite scored only 3 points. UCAM Murcia was edged 73-70 in Barcelona by the much higher-ranked FC Barcelona (#4). Benite's stats this season are: 12.2ppg and 1.9rpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Brazilian National Team roster.

   #11. International point guard Raul Neto (185-92, currently plays in NBA) managed to help Utah Jazz in a victory against the New Orleans Pelicans 88-83 in the NBA last Monday. Neto scored only 2 points in 14 minutes. This year Neto averages just 2.1ppg in 32 games. He plays currently for the Brazilian national team.

   #12. International forward Leonardo Demetrio (203-94, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Lleida Basquet in their game against Gipuzkoa in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). He scored 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 20 minutes. His team lost 65-71. Demetrio averaged so far 10.9ppg and 5.8rpg in 26 games. He is also in the roster of the Brazilian national team.

   #13. Former international guard Carlos Cobos (193-88, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked Agustinos-Leclerc crushing them 92-66 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) on Saturday night. Cobos scored only 2 points in 26 minutes. Cobos has averaged so far 7.4ppg, 3.5rpg, 2.0apg and 1.2spg in 23 games. He used to play for the Brazilian national team seven years ago.

   #14. Former U19 international forward Guilherme Verardo (198-94, currently plays in NCAA2) couldn't help the Slippery Rock University in their game against the Mercyhurst College in the NCAA2. Verardo cannot count Monday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 3 points. His team was defeated 88-73 in the NCAA2. Verardo has averaged so far 2.1ppg and 2.4rpg. He used to play for the Brazilian U19 national team back in 2013.

   #15. Former U19 international forward Dimitris Sousa (198-94, currently plays in NCAA2) couldn't help the The University of Virginia Coll. Wise in their game against the Glenville State College in the NCAA2. Sousa scored 6 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 26 minutes. His team was badly defeated by 18 points 84-66 in the NCAA2. Sousa has very impressive stats this year: 16.5ppg and 4.2rpg in 23 games. He used to play for the Brazilian U19 national team eight years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Brazilian passport but never been selected to any of Brazilian national teams:

   #1. Felipe Dos Anjos (218-C-98, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked CB Prat (10-16) 97-79 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Saturday night. Dos Anjos scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Union Financiera Baloncesto Oviedo (17-9) is placed fourth in the LEB Gold. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. Dos Anjos has averaged so far 9.0ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.2bpg.

   #2. Rafael Barbosa (191-F-91, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Barbera Team Values to win against the second-ranked Sant Adria (16-5) 94-86 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) last Sunday. Barbosa recorded only one point and grabbed 4 rebounds. Barbera Team Values (12-7) is placed fourth in Group C-B. Barbosa has averaged so far 5.4ppg and 4.5rpg. He has a dual citizenship: Brazilian and Spanish.

   #3. Clement Faroux (188-G-93, currently plays in France). Faroux could not help Lorient (10-16) to beat Caen (20-6). He scored 6 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 29 minutes. Lorient lost 92-97 on the road to the leading Caen. Faroux has averaged so far 7.1ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.8apg and 1.2spg in 23 games he played so far. He is another player who holds two passports: Brazilian and French. Despite Faroux's Brazilian nationality, he previously played for the French U18 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Brazilian team.

   #4. Experienced Daniel Aleixo (210-C-0, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Real Betis SVL 2 in their game against Novaschool (6-4) in the Spanish EBA (fourth division). Aleixo recorded 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Real Betis SVL 2 (#8) was defeated 88-79 in Malaga by the higher-ranked Novaschool (#3) in the Group D Perman. It was Real Betis SVL 2's fifth consecutive loss in a row. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Aleixo has averaged so far 3.1ppg and 3.9rpg.

   #5. Renato Ribeiro (190-F-95, currently plays in Portugal) was not able to secure a victory for Guifoes (9-10) in their game against Belenenses CF (4-3) in the Portuguese Proliga (second division). He recorded only 4 points in 20 minutes. his team was edged 54-51 at home by the lower-ranked (#4) Belenenses CF in the Places 9-16 group. Ribeiro has averaged so far 5.6ppg and 3.8rpg in 19 games.

   #6. Gabriel de Oliveira (206-PF-97, currently plays in Germany) couldn't help Iserlohn in their game against RSV Eintracht in the German ProB (third division). He cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. de Oliveira recorded only 2 points. His team was crushed by 22 points 92-70. de Oliveira has averaged so far 2.7ppg and 2.1rpg. He has both Brazilian and German nationalities.

   #7. Felipe Rocha (203-F-94, currently plays in NCAA2) couldn't help the Union University, TN in their game against the University of Alabama in Huntsville in the NCAA2. Rocha cannot count Tuesday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 3 points. His team was defeated 85-73 in the NCAA2. Rocha has averaged so far 1.3ppg and 1.3rpg.

   #8. Leandro Miranda (205-C-91, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Ponferrada CDP (11-8) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance Ponferrada CDP (#7) was crushed 101-74 in Santiago de Camp. by the lower-ranked Rosalia (#9) in the Group A-B. Miranda recorded 10 points. Miranda has averaged so far 5.4ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.3bpg.

33-year old point guard Paulinho Boracini (183-PG-84) put on an amazing game in the last round for B.Cearense and receives a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7. He had the game-high 27 points adding five rebounds and five assists for B.Cearense in his team's victory, helping them to beat Vasco Da G. (#15, 1-5) 85-76. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, derby games and games ending by tiny margin. The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Mogi (6-1) on the court of fourth ranked Caxias do Sul on Thursday night. Visitors were edged by Caxias do Sul 66-65.
