The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position and favorites losing the games.

Second defeat of league's leader Contagem (4-2) against Santos/Macapa (3-4) 56-54 was the most important game of the last round. Santos/Macapa forced 20 Contagem turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Contagem helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for forward Ricardo de-Azevedo (201-83) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Ulisses Lima (198-85) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Santos/Macapa's coach Abdala Neto used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Fernando Alvim (201-80) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds for Contagem. Contagem will play next round against strong Joinville trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Santos/Macapa will try to continue on its current victory against Blumenau on the road.
Important game to mention about took place in Santos. Contagem (4-2) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging Santos/Macapa (3-4) 65-62 on Friday evening. It was a great evening for forward Everton Oliveira (203-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 7 rebounds. Thiago Perez helped adding 14 points. The best for the losing side was Ulisses Lima (198-85) with 19 points. Contagem will play against Joinville (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Santos/Macapa will play against Blumenau and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Botafogo F.R. (5-1) added another victory to their record on Tuesday. This time they beat Blumenau (2-4) in Rio de Janeiro 89-85. It was a quality performance for Jamaal Smith who led the winners and scored 29 points and 6 assists. Botafogo F.R.'s coach Marcio Andrade allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Tarvin Gaines came up with 26 points and 8 rebounds for Blumenau in the defeat. Botafogo F.R. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Blumenau will play against Santos/Macapa (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The game in was also quite interesting. Joinville (3-1) played at the court of Blumenau (2-4). Joinville managed to secure a 6-point victory 76-70 on Tuesday. It was a good game for Jeferson Froehlich who led his team to a victory with 7 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Joinville will face Contagem in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Blumenau will play against Santos/Macapa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 3 winless Brusque was beaten by Joinville on the road 61-56.
The most impressive performance of 3rd round was 21 points and 8 rebounds by Rodrigo Silva of Brusque.

Joinville - Brusque 61-56

No shocking result in a game when Joinville (3-1) beat at home Brusque (0-5) 61-56 on Tuesday. It was a good game for Maxwell Dias (198-91) who led his team to a victory with 16 points. The former international Andre Pereira (206-79) contributed with 9 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Joinville's coach George Salles used entire bench in such tough game. Center Rodrigo Silva (207-87) answered with 21 points and 8 rebounds and Willian da-Silva (200-81) added 8 points in the effort for Brusque. Joinville will face Contagem in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Brusque will play against Blumenau (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

It was a quality performance for American point guard Jamaal Smith (175-85, college: N.Mexico) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 6 assists. Power forward Abner Moreira (206-89, college: Idaho St.) accounted for 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Botafogo F.R.'s coach Marcio Andrade allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game.
