Host teams show no mercy winning all games.

The most exciting game of round 4 in the Liga Ouro took place in Contagem. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Joinville (3-3) to second ranked Contagem (6-2) 92-90 in the game for the second place. Contagem made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Joinville helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Rodrigo Maistro (200-87) who helped to win the game recording 24 points (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Thiago Perez (191-82) who added 21 points and 7 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side Maxwell Dias (198-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Joinville's coach George Salles tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Contagem maintains second position with 6-2 record behind leader Botafogo F.R. Joinville at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. Contagem are looking forward to face Blumenau (#4) in the next round. Joinville will play against Brusque and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.

Santos/Macapa will play against Joinville and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The most impressive stats of the last round was 17 points and 9 rebounds by Deonta Stocks of Blumenau.

Santeros de Aguada (BSN) added to their roster 31-year old Brazilian international center Rafael Hettsheimer (206-118kg-86). He is a dual citizen owning also Spanish passport.
