There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in NBB.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Flamengo (20-7) in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Brasilia (19-9) 77-71. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Flamengo. Brasilia made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Flamengo helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International Guilherme Giovannoni (203-80) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) for the winners and international power forward Lucas Mariano (208-93) chipped in 20 points. The former international Marquinhos Vieira (207-84) responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Flamengo's coach Jose Neto rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Brasilia moved-up to third place. Defending champion Flamengo still keeps top position with seven games lost. Brasilia are looking forward to face Macae (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Flamengo will play against Minas (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
NBB top team - Flamengo (20-7) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Minas (8-19) in Rio de Janeiro 108-74. The former international Marcelo Machado (201-75, agency: Interperformances) nailed 19 points and 6 assists for the winning side and Marquinhos Vieira accounted for 20 points. American forward Drew Maynard (200-89, college: Rochester, MI) came up with 13 points for Minas in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flamengo have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 20-7 record. Minas lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 19 games lost. Flamengo will again play against Minas (#12) in Belo Horizonte in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Minas will have a break next round.
The game in Bauru was also quite interesting. Second ranked Mogi (19-8) played at the court of 5th ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (18-11). Mogi managed to secure a 7-point victory 87-80 on Thursday. The best player for the winners was Shamell Stallworth who scored 28 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Jefferson Andrade produced 32 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Mogi. Defending champion maintains second place with 19-8 record behind leader Flamengo. Paschoalotto/Bauru at the other side keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Mogi will meet Vivo/Franca (#4) in the next round. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play against Campo Mourao and hope to secure a win.
An interesting game took place in Macae where 4th placed Brasilia (19-9) was upset on the court of thirteenth ranked Macae (7-21) 87-74. Kendall Anthony orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 8 assists. Macae's coach Leonardo Costa allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Macae maintains thirteenth place with 7-21 record. Brasilia at the other side dropped to the third position with nine games lost. Macae's next round opponent will be again higher ranked Brasilia (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 29: Pinheiros won against Vasco Da G. on the opponent's court 83-74. Macae unfortunately lost to Bauru in a home game 70-80. Campo Mourao was rolled over Franca on the road 42-61. Pinheiros crushed Caxias do Sul on its own court 95-69. B.Cearense was beaten by Paulistano in Sao Paolo 79-67. L.Sorocaba lost to Vitoria at home 62-69.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 13 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists by Ralfi Ansaloni of Pinheiros.

Flamengo - Brasilia 71-77

The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flamengo have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 20-7 record. Minas lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 19 games lost. Flamengo will again play against Minas (#12) in Belo Horizonte in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Minas will have a break next round.
