Vitoria nipped Campo Mourao to take 2-0 lead in the series. Universo/Vitoria made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Campo Mourao helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Keyron Sheard (188-86, college: Chattanooga, agency: Haylett Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Forward Renato Scholz (197-88) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Caue Freitas (192-88) replied with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Greg Brown (188-94, college: St.Francis, PA) added 19 points in the effort for Campo Mourao. Five Universo/Vitoria and four Campo Mourao players scored in double figures. Campo Mourao's coach Emerson Souza rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Paulistano outgunned Basket Cearense to even the series at 1-1. Paulistano made 26-of-30 free shots (86.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Lucas Dias-Silva (209-95) notched 23 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international center Guilherme Hubner (208-87) supported him with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Even 29 points by the former international guard Eduardo Machado (193-82) did not help to save the game for SKY/Basquete. The former international point guard David Rossetto (180-93) added 7 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

The former international Jefferson Andrade (207-83) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and international guard Alex Garcia (191-80, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 20 points, 5 assists and 6 steals. Five Paschoalotto/Bauru players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 23 points and 11 assists by American point guard Kendall Anthony (173-93, college: Richmond) did not help to save the game for Macae. Guard Guilherme Schneider (193-86) added 16 points and 7 rebounds for the guests.

Vasco Da Gama bounced back from the starting loss and upset Pinheiros on the road. Vasco Da G. made 31-of-33 charity shots (93.9 percent) during the game. Pinheiros was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international power forward Murilo Becker (211-83) had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and American guard David Jackson (195-82, college: Penn St.) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. American guard Cordero Bennett (188-88) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Desmond Holloway (191-90, college: Co.Carolina) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Four Pinheiros players scored in double figures. Pinheiros' coach Cesar Guidetti tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.

Host teams show no mercy winning all games. Very significant was Joinville's (#3, 7-4) victory against 4th placed Blumenau (4-7) 78-74. It was a great evening for guard Lucas Vezaro (188-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. point guard Jeferson Froehlich (193-91) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds.
