Campo Mourao stayed alive in the playoff series versus Vitoria. They snatched a tough victory in Game 3 to cut the deficit at 1-2. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Universo/Vitoria won third quarter 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Isaac Thornton (190-G-91, college: Fairmont St.) stepped up with 22 points to pace the winners. Douglas Nunes (208-PF-87) added 20 points for Campo Mourao. Kenny Dawkins (175-PG-87, college: Lamar) answered with game-high 26 points for Vitoria.

Paulistano - B.Cearense 81-85

B.Cearense overcame Paulistano to gain 2-1 lead in the series. It was an exceptional evening for the former international point guard David Rossetto (180-93) who led the winners and scored 22 points. The former international center Leonardo Klassmann (208-89) accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Five SKY/Basquete players scored in double figures. Forward Lucas Dias-Silva (209-95) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds and the former international center Guilherme Hubner (208-87) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Paulistano in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

Bauru held off Macae to sweep the series. Paschoalotto/Bauru made 23-of-27 charity shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Paschoalotto/Bauru outrebounded Macae 41-18 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Macae helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international Jefferson Andrade (207-83) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. International guard Alex Garcia (191-80, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Paschoalotto/Bauru players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Kendall Anthony (173-93, college: Richmond) who recorded 31 points and 7 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and guard Guilherme Schneider (193-86) added 15 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals respectively.

Santeros de Aguada (BSN) added to their roster 31-year old Brazilian international center Rafael Hettsheimer (206-118kg-86). He is a dual citizen owning also Spanish passport. The last season he played at Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in Spanish Liga Endesa where in 15 games he recorded 8.5ppg and 3.7rpg.
