Vitoria held off Campo Mourao to advance into the quarterfinal stage. Universo/Vitoria dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Campo Mourao's 16. They outrebounded Campo Mourao 42-29 including a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Renato Scholz (197-88) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Kenny Dawkins (175-87, college: Lamar) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Universo/Vitoria players scored in double figures. American guard Greg Brown (188-94, college: St.Francis, PA) answered with 9 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import Jordan Montgomery (199-93, college: Union, TN) added 11 points in the effort for Campo Mourao. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Paulistano overcame Basket Cearense to reach the next stage of playoffs. Paulistano made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Point guard Arthur Pecos (183-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points. Point guard George Lucas (195-96) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Paulistano players scored in double figures. The former international point guard David Rossetto (180-93) answered with 13 points and American guard Rashaun McLemore (193-86, college: CS Northridge) added 16 points in the effort for SKY/Basquete. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game.

He played most recently at Ciclista Olimpico de La Banda in Argentinian LigaA. In 32 games he averaged 9.7ppg and 4.9rpg last season.
