Basquete Joinville/AABJ (Liga Ouro) agreed terms with 21-year old power forward Lucas de Souza (211-96, college: San Bernardino CC). He played last summer at Paulistano in the Paulista.
Despite young age de Souza had impressive career. He was voted Latinbasket.com All-Brazilian Carioca League Center of the Year back in 2014 at his college time.
He represented Brazil at the South American Championships U17 in Salto (Uruguay) four years ago. de Souza's team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 6 games: 8.5ppg, 7.7rpg, 1.3apg, 1.2spg, Blocks-3 (2.3bpg), FGP: 47.2%, 3PT: 22.2%, FT: 73.3%.
de Souza has played previously professionally in Brazil (Macae and Sao Jose/Vinac).
He try to attended San Bernardino Valley College until 2016 and it will be his second season as a professional player.
