 Espanol de Talca was the only home team that won game 1 of the first round of playoffs. On saturday night they defeated Deportivo Valdivia 81-74, with Javes Wiggins (201-F-80, college: Md-Eastern Shore) and Alexander Blackwell (205-F/C-70, agency: Duran International, college: Monmouth) combined for 42 points on the night. In Ancud, led by the huge performance by B.J. Puckett (205-F-83, agency: AMI, college: Clayton St.) (51 points), Boston College defeated Deportes Ancud in overtime, 107-103.

 Liceo Mixto, Universidad Catolica, and CD Puente Alto, all visitors, won game one of the first round of playoffs. Rodrigo Espinoza (183-G-81, agency: Players Group) was the leader for Liceo in the victory over Llanquihue (62-78) with 22 points. In Osorno, the guard Keddric Mays (183-G) led all scorers with 38 points in the victory over Osorno (88-101).

 Provincial Llanquihue released the american guard JR Morris (196-G-82, college: Seton Hall) after ten games with the team. Morris played 10 games averaging 16.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.2 steals and 2.6 assist in 33.4 minutes per game. To replace Morris, Llanquihue signed the american forward Daryl Rufus (207-C-82, agency: HM Sports Agency, college: Fayetteville St.). Rufus played last season with Ancudaveraging 22.

 In the last game of regular season, Liceo Mixto was defeated 78-71 by Deportes Ancud playing in Chiloe Island city. Los Andes team showed more than one absence, Pablo Ares gave a rest to his figures Patrick Saez and Patricio Briones, giving a little of advantage to the local team. Nevertheless Ancud played with only two import players and one of them, Fernando Cavagna was expelled from the game during the first quarter.

 Deportes Castro defeated Liceo Mixto 92-90 on tuesday night and secured the second place in the regular season. With this, Castro qualified to the quarterfinals while Liceo Mixto will have to face Provincial Llanquihue in the first round of the playoffs. The guard Roy Morris (188-G, college: San Diego) was the offensive leader for the winners with 28 points. Deportes Castro 92 - Liceo Mixto 90 Cas: Roy Morris 28 pts. Gonzalo Velasquez 22 pts.

 After fourteen games with the team, Liceo Mixto waived the american guard Brandon Lee (188-G, agency: ProSportsCareers, college: Tarleton St.). After a slow start Lee become one of the most important offensive players for the team (18-20-15-20-20 in the last five games) but Pablo Ares was looking for more help in the paint for Briones and Garnett so they decided to end the contract with the guard. He averaged 12.3 points, 1.9 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 2.

 With Only two pending games of the regular season (Liceo Mixto v/s Ancud and Castro) the final standings are almost ready to define the matchups for the playoffs first round.First of all, in the weekend action, CD Universidad de Concepcion defeated Provincial Llanquihue and Universidad de Los Lagos to secure the first place in the standings with 16-6 record and 47.0 points. The second place will be defined next tuesday when Liceo Mixto will travel to Castro to face the host, Deportes Castro.
