Bahamas exploded in Day One of the CBC championship in Nassau. The host of this event smashed Cayman Islands 94-41 for 1-0 score in Preliminary Group B. Bahamas took control on their rivals from the very beginning and they never looked back. Alonzo Hinds (183-G-84, college: Midland CC) shined with 21 points for the hosts. Torrington Cox (201-F-85, agency: Dynamics Global Management, college: King) had 13, while Mitchell Johnson (196-F-85, college: Jarvis Christian) added two points less. In the loosing squad, Jorge Ebanks (185-G-88, college: Daemen) collected 11 points and 5 rebounds. Samuel O'Garro (196-F/G-88) scored 9 and Shaad O'Garro (201-F-90, college: Campbellsville) added 8 pts. Beside Bahamas and Cayman Islands, participants of Group B are also Bermudas, British Virgin Islands and Saint Vincent. In the second day of the championship, Bahamas will meet Bermudas. Cayman Islands will meet British Virgin Islands.

Sol Blazers caught up with Silver Bullets on top of League's standings. Sol Blazers outgunned their key rivals 92:89 in the key matchup of the week. Shaad O'Garro (199-F/G-90, college: Le Moyne-Owen) scored 34 points and grabbed 14 boards to pace the winners. Samuel O'Garro (195-G-88, college: Eckerd) added 30 points and 10 rebounds for Sol Blazers as they improved at 8-1 record. Davion Cotterell responded with 29 points for Silver Bullets.
