Victor O'Garro, better known as Coach Voot, technical director for basketball in the Cayman Islands, has received a sponsorship check for $1,500 from Virginia Czarnocki of WB Financial for the development of the Cayman Islands Basketball Association Under-19 league.

The CIBA U-19 games are played at Clifton Hunter High School on Saturdays from 3 p.m. There are four male teams and four female teams participating in the league. WB Financial has bought playing apparel for all of the teams.

Coach Voot said expectations are high for participants in the league, some of whom have previously been awarded basketball scholarships to the U.S. He encourages everyone to 'please come out and support our local athletes,' and thanked WB Financial for its generous support.
