Chilean National Team travelled to Chile to take part at the Super 4 tournament. Chile faced Uruguay, Colombia and hosting Venezuela at the Forum de Valencia, Venezuela. Chile lost all three games at the tourney. Chile opened their campaign against Venezuela. The hosts claimed a comfortable 75:53 win. The hosts built a 43:21 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the victory. Eduardo Sepulveda (186-G-86) knocked down 14 points to lead the Chilean team. Sebastian Suarez (189-F-91) added 11 points, while Franco Morales (179-G-92) had 7 in the loss. Next two games did not bring too much relief for the Chilean team. They took on Uruguay next and had to surrender 52:58. Finally Chile played against Colombia. Chile came up with arguably their best performance at the tournament but still had to surrender 75:82. The teams are preparing for the South American Championship. The tournament will be held in June in Argentina. Chile will play in Group A alongside Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela.

The team coached by Manuel Cordoba (agency: Regeneracom Sports ) defeated to Uruguay 64-62 in day 1 of the tournament, lost against Canada 87-40 in day 2 and in day 3, with the chance to qualify to the world championship the NT was defeated by Puerto Rico 62-52.
In the second round of the tournament, lookin for the fifth place, the NT defeated to Mexico 72-64 and once again to the host Uruguay (66-65) on saturday to reach the fifth place.
The point guard Nicolas Aguirre (176-PG-97) finished second in the scoring list of the torunament with 18.0 points per game, first in assists per game with 6.0 and first in steals with 4.2 The center Javier Barra (209-C-97) finished ninth in rebounds with 7.4 per game.
After a year away from the minor series of the NT,Manuel Cordoba (agency: Regeneracom Sports ) returned with another good performance.

Nicolas Aguirre (176-PG-97) posts a triple-double against Mexico at the Classification Round for 5-8 places at the FIBA Americas Championship. The player helped Chile to win 72:64 as he erupted with 17 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds. Chile won the first period 17-15, but allowed the opponents to take 2-point lead at the halftime when Mexico posted a 19-15 rally in the second frame. The second half however belonged to Chile. They posted similar 20-15 in the third and the last stanza to win the game. Sebastian Herrera (190-SF-97) top-scored for Chile with 24 points and Dante Bahamonde (174-G-96) added 20. Felipe Haase followed them with 6 points in a win. Rene Melendez (192-SF-96) ended up with 23 points in the losing effort and Diego Contreras (186-PG-96) brought 12. Ivan Venegas (200-C-96) and Kevin Vazquez (198-PF-97) poured in 8 points each. Chile will face Uruguay in the game for the 5th place. Mexico will take on Bahamas in the opener of the last day.

The Chilean youngsters could not turn things around in the final stanza as Puerto Rico marched to the victory. Jorge Pacheco (185-SG-97) netted 14 points, while Ivan Gandia (188-G-97) chipped in 9 points in the winning effort. Nicolas Aguirre (176-PG-97) responded with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for Chile. Dante Bahamonde (174-G-96) had 12 points in the loss.
