On wednesday night was played the final of the "Encestando una Sonrisa" tournament.CD Universidad de Concepcion won the title for the second year in a row after a 74-64 victory against Uniceub, led by the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, Evandro Arteaga (178-G-83), who averaged 27.5 points per game.
In the game for the third place, Minas Tenis defeated to CD Universidad Catolica 75-52, while in the game for the fifth place Randolph Macon defeated to Boca Juniors 81-77.

CD Tinguiririca San Fernando signed the americansEric Traimiel (201-F-88, college: N.Texas) and Albert Jackson (211-F/C-88, college: Georgia). Tramiel has playing experience in Chile, when last year he was part of Catolica's roster. Jackson is a 25 year old center with playing experience in Uruguay, Argentina and Holland. Both players are alrrady with the team preparing for the start of the season.
