Harrison
American Center Paul Harrison (203-C-89) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for CDU Concepcion, receiving a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 23 rebounds, while his team beat Los Leones (#1, 14-5) 95-82. CDU Concepcion maintains the 7th position in Chilean Liga Nacional. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. CDU Concepcion will need more victories to improve their 8-6 record. In the team's last game Harrison had a remarkable 81.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be CDU Concepcion's top player in his first season with the team. Former North Greenville University star has very solid stats this year. Harrison is in league's top in points (6th best: 23.2ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 14.1rpg) and averages impressive 1.1bpg and 63.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old American Dwight McCombs (203-F-89) of CDE Talca. McCombs had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 19 rebounds. Of course CDE Talca cruised to a 79-72 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Tinguiririca S.F. (#9, 4-16). This victory allowed CDE Talca to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team's 10-5 record is not bad at all. McCombs is well-known at CDE Talca and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Mike Phillips (201-F/C-90) of Puerto Montt (#12). Phillips scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of Puerto Montt, leading his team to a 94-92 win against slightly higher-ranked CD Valdivia (#11, 9-7). The chances of Puerto Montt ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 9 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Phillips could help Puerto Montt to bring them higher in the standings. Phillips has a very solid season. In 17 games in Chile he scored 19.1ppg. He also has 8.8rpg, 1.5bpg and FGP: 57.9%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Lenin Lopez (198-F-91) of Puente Alto - 23 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Durrell Summers (193-SF-89) of CD Valdivia - 30 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Juan Luis Abeiro (196-C/F-88) of Tinguiririca S.F. - 21 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Louis Munks (190-G-90) of Puerto Montt - 25 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Brandon Bowdry (200-F/G-88) of Los Leones - 20 points and 12 rebounds
9. Felipe Acuna (182-G-92) of Tinguiririca S.F. - 19 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Erik Carrasco (181-G-83) of CD Valdivia - 17 points, 3 rebounds and 10 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
