Deportivo San Jose Asuncion (Metropolitan League) added to their roster 29-year old American forward Howard Crawford (205-107kg-88, college: UAB). He just played at played at CD Tinguiririca San Fernando in Chilean Liga Nacional. In 15 games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.9ppg, 8.2rpg and 3.1apg this season. Crawford also played for Larre Borges in Uruguayan LUB that season where in three Liga Nacional games he averaged 7.3ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.0apg. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won Peruvian LNB championship title in 2017. Crawford was also voted Eurobasket.com All-British EBL Division One Player of the Year and Eurobasket.com All-British EBL Division One Forward of the Year back in 2014. He is quite experienced player. Thanks to Crawford's pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in eleven different countries. Crawford has played previously professionally also in Estonia, Holland (Zwolle), Iraq (Al-Tadamoun and Nift Al-Janoub), Kuwait, Luxembourg, Mexico (Gigantes), Romania (Politehnica Iasi), United Kingdom (London Lions and London Leopards), Peru (Regatas), Uruguay (Goes and Capitol) and Chile (Los Leones). He attended University of Alabama at Birmingham until 2010 and it is his eighth season as a professional player. The scouts decsribe him following way:
