CDU Concepcion claimed 2-0 lead over Tinguirica in the playoff series. Tinguiririca S.F. was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 50-40 second half run of Universidad de Concepcion. They made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Jamaican-American guard Akeem Scott (185-83, college: High Point) notched 29 points, 6 assists and 5 steals (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and American center Paul Harrison (203-89, college: N.Greenville) supported him with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Scott is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Universidad de Concepcion's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 28 points and 9 rebounds by Venezuelan center Jose Juan Bravo (202-86, agency: Pro Sports) did not help to save the game for Tinguiririca S.F.. Argentinian power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (196-88) added 19 points and 8 rebounds for the guests.

Los Leones celebrated the second straight victory against CDU Catolica. The game was mostly controlled by Los Leones. Universidad Catolica was better in fourth quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Los Leones made 23-of-29 charity shots (79.3 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Universidad Catolica helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American swingman Brandon Bowdry (200-88, college: E.Michigan, agency: Inception Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international Darrol Jones (193-94) supported him with 6 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 17 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) by American power forward Brandon Crawford (201-84, college: Albion) did not help to save the game for Universidad Catolica. Raimundo Cannobbio added 15 points for the guests. Four Universidad Catolica players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Puerto Montt upset AB Ancud to even the series at 1-1. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 24-7 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Puerto Montt dominated on the defensive end, holding AB Ancud to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded AB Ancud 38-24 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. American power forward Mike Phillips (201-90, college: Howard) had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Louis Munks (190-90, college: Prairie View A&M) chipped in 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) during the contest. Four Puerto Montt players scored in double figures. American forward Reginald Larry (198-86, college: Boise St., agency: Pro Sports) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Venezuelan swingman Francisco Centeno (201-85) scored 11 points. AB Ancud's coach Ivan Gallardo rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

CD Valdicia eked out a narrow home win over Las Animas for 2-0 lead in the series. The hosts were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 26-17 Las Animas' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 83-81 at the end of the game. It was a great shooting night for Deportivo Valdivia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. The game was dominated by American players. Durrell Summers (193-89, college: Michigan St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 35 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Arnold Louis (201-90, college: Savannah St., agency: HMS) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Center Terrell Taylor (203-81, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Aspire Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds and guard Dominic Cheek (198-91, college: Villanova) added 25 points in the effort for Las Animas. Espanol de Talca had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. American forward Dwight McCombs (203-89, college: Cent.Florida) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points and 18 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and guard Pablo Barraza (184-94) supported him with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 13 points and 15 rebounds by Venezuelan forward Lenin Lopez (198-91) did not help to save the game for Puente Alto.
