CD Valdivia rallied past AB Ancud to gain the first victory in the series. It looked good early as AB Ancud took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Deportivo Valdivia had a 19-10 second period charge getting the lead and AB Ancud was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 65-73. American Durrell Summers (193-89, college: Michigan St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). The former international guard Erik Carrasco (181-83) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. American forward Reginald Larry (198-86, college: Boise St., agency: Pro Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and Venezuelan swingman Francisco Centeno (201-85) added 22 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for AB Ancud.

Osorno - Las Animas 70-80

Las Animas upset Osorno to even the series at 1-1. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-70. Las Animas made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American center Terrell Taylor (203-81, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Aspire Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). The other American import guard Dominic Cheek (198-91, college: Villanova) chipped in 22 points. Nigerian-American center Reggie Okosa (208-80, college: La Salle) produced 17 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Brandon Robinson (198-89, college: Clayton St.) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts.

CDU Concepcion beat CDE Talca to level things up at 1-1. The hosts trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 58-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Scott is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Olimpo de Bahia Blanca (TNA) added to their roster 28-year old American small forward Durrell Summers (193-93kg-89, college: Michigan State).
