CDE Talca - CDU Concepcion 94-79

CDE Talca outgunned CDU Concepcion to take 2-1 lead in the quarterfinal series. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-79. 28 personal fouls committed by Universidad de Concepcion helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Dwight McCombs (203-89, college: Cent.Florida) who scored 24 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Eduardo Sepulveda (186-86) chipped in 21 points and 4 assists. Five Espanol de Talca players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Anthony Danridge (196-86, college: N.Mexico) who recorded 23 points and forward Diego Silva (186-93) added 11 points and 8 assists respectively. Universidad de Concepcion's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Las Animas - Osorno 90-102

Osorno upset Las Animas on the road to spur ahead in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Osorno Basquetbol. Las Animas managed to win third quarter 27-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Osorno Basquetbol made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Osorno Basquetbol especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. It was a great evening for Nigerian-American center Reggie Okosa (208-80, college: La Salle) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). American forward Brandon Robinson (198-89, college: Clayton St.) helped adding 25 points. Osorno Basquetbol's coach R Isbej used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American center Terrell Taylor (203-81, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Aspire Sports) with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international point guard Franco Morales (179-92) scored 26 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Los Leones cruised past Tinguiririca on the road to step closer to the semifinal stage. The game without a history. Los Leones led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Los Leones outrebounded Tinguiririca S.F. 42-31 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American swingman Brandon Bowdry (200-88, college: E.Michigan, agency: Inception Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 15 rebounds. His fellow American import DeAndre Coleman (201-86, college: S.Alabama, agency: DTMones) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Los Leones players scored in double figures. Los Leones' coach Claudio Jorquera felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Argentinian power forward Juan-Luis Abeiro (196-88) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists and Brazilian center Lucas Tischer (208-83) added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Tinguiririca S.F.
