CDE Talca outgunned CDU Concepcion to take 3-1 lead in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Espanol de Talca. Universidad de Concepcion managed to win third quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 27 personal fouls committed by Universidad de Concepcion helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Dwight McCombs (203-89, college: Cent.Florida) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The other American import swingman Decorey Jones (201-90, college: Faulkner) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Five Espanol de Talca players scored in double figures.
