An interesting game for Puente Alto (8-4) which hosted in Puente Alto one of their biggest challengers Arturo Prat (6-6). Third ranked Puente Alto had an easy win 84-58. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Arturo Prat. Puente Alto dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Arturo Prat's 26. It was a good game for the former international forward Antonio Pinedo (195-94) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Diego Valenzuela (185-94) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Paulo Andrade (174-93) replied with 20 points (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) for Arturo Prat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Puente Alto maintains third position with 8-4 record having just two points less than leader Sportiva Italiana. Arturo Prat at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Puente Alto are looking forward to face Aleman (#7) in Puerto Varas in the next round. Arturo Prat will play at home against Sergio Ceppi and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
Libcentro Pro top team - Sportiva Italiana (10-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Brisas (4-8) in Valparaiso 63-56. Worth to mention a quality performance of Francoise Diaz (-87) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 rebounds and Matias Lubiano who added 7 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Emiliano Marquez (-96) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sportiva Italiana maintains first position with 10-2 record, which they share with Liceo Curico. Brisas lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Aleman. Sportiva Italiana will play against league's second-placed Liceo Curico on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Brisas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santiago Stadio Italiano.

Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Stadio Italiano moved-up to fifth place. Aleman lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Brisas. Stadio Italiano's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena Brisas.

The best player for the winners was Marcelo Perez who scored 31 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Liceo Curico have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Sportiva Italiana. Sergio Ceppi at the other side stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. Liceo Curico's next round opponent will be league's leader Sportiva Italiana in Valparaiso and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sergio Ceppi will play on the road against Arturo Prat (#4) in San Felipe and hope to win that game.
