Indervalle is completing its roster for the upcoming Federation Cup, the red team already signed three americans to fill very important roles. The most important news is the comeback of the quick point guard Camontae Griffin, the player was the surprise of the 2011 Cup, finishing among the best imports of the Cup. Along Griffin are going ot come Rogers Barnes (1,93 G) out of Morgan State (NCAA Div I), with experience in some minor USA leagues. The third piece is the forward / center Cavell Johnson our Md Bal- Couty (NCAA Div I) and with experience in Portugals first division.

35-year old center Quentin Smith (205-C-77) had a great game in the last round for Aguilas and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 19 (Second Stage).
He had a double-double of 28 points and 16 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Bambuqueros (#1, 14-5) 83-99. Aguilas maintains the 6th position in Colombian league. He just recently signed at Aguilas, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Mississippi State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Smith is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 9.5rpg) and averages solid 58.9% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Darrin Dorsey (188-PG) of top-ranked Bambuqueros. He is American guard in his first season at Bambuqueros. In the last game Dorsey recorded impressive double-double of 19 points and 13 assists. Of course he lead Bambuqueros to another comfortable win 99-83 over the lower-ranked Aguilas (#6, 5-14) being unquestionably team leader. Of course Bambuqueros still keep the league's top spot. His team has currently 14-5 record. Dorsey is one of the most experienced players at Bambuqueros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to guard Edgar Moreno (190-G-81, agency: Dream Team Management) of Piratas (#3). Moreno showcased his all-around game by recording 14 points, five rebounds and thirteen assists (!!!) in the last round. He was a key player of Piratas, leading his team to a 111-91 easy win against #4 ranked Once Caldas in a game of the week. Piratas needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 8 lost games. Moreno has a great season in Colombia. After 45 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.6apg (best passer).

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. The semifinals playoffs will start on Monday May 27 at Bogot and Manizales, game 1 of the Bukaros vs Piratas will be TV broadcasted by Directv and game 2 of the Bambuqueros vs Manizales OC will be broadcasted also.
