The first half finished with Bambuqueros 2 points lead and looks like the locals made the adjustment but entering the second half the game start to change and Bambuqueros began to open a 8 points gap, five Neivas players scored in double figures leaded by the series MVP Stalin Ortiz (190-G-81, college: Valparaiso) with 18 points, Enielsen Guevara also posted 18. Bambuqueros was the favorite form the beginning, his powerfull Colombian roster finally was the key for the success, and in the final playoffs his defense very strong and the motor of his offensive.

Bukaros tried to use the zone at times, but the answer of Bambuqueros was to put Rodrigo Caicedo as point guard , Ortiz and Darrin Dorsey (188-PG, college: Dakota Wesleyan) on the wings to open the zone, forcing Bukaros again to switch to man defense.
