Cesar Silva
Bukaros won a hard game at his home, the yellow squad faced a true challenge of the Guerreros in the first half, but in the second the inspiration of Cesar Silva (190-G/F-81) was the key to guide the Bukaros to win the third game.
Guerreros defense over Miguel Marriaga was good enough to limited him to 4 points, Guerreros found in Rashad Bell and Stalin Ortiz the true leaders in the half, but entering the second half Bukaros choose to involve more Miguel Marriaga in the offensive getting Shawn Malloy in foul trouble, however Guerreros thanks to their 7 three pointers in the half keep close and had some leads at times.
But in the last 54 seconds a turnover of Guerreros and a distraction in defense allowed Cesar Silva to score 4 points to give a 4 points lead to Bukaros with 8 seconds left in the clock.
A forced three points shot of Guerreros Bell at the buzzer did not enter the basket and Bukaros won the game three to take a 2-1 lead in the playoff.
Bukaros 83 - C. Silva 27 pts, M. Marriaga 15 pts
Guerreros 79 - R. Bell 21, S. Ortiz 20.

Bukaros leads 2-1

We bring you last week's top performances from Colombians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. This week's number one is an experienced international power forward Juan Palacios (206-85). He could not help Besiktas (8-3) in their last game. Despite Palacios' very good performance the league leader Besiktas was edged 99-96 on the road by the lower-ranked (#7) Stelmet Enea BC.    [read more]
