LaShawn Malloy agreed terms with Yokohama B-Corsairs, ex Guerreros - Dec 23, 2012

Yokohama B-Corsairs (BJ League) inked 28-year old American power forward LaShawn Malloy (209-109kg-84, college: New Orleans). He played in the summer at Guerreros in Colombian Copa Federacion. Malloy also played at Iwate Big Bulls that season. In 51 BJ League games last season he recorded 11.2ppg, 10.5rpg and 1.1spg.
The previous (2011) summer he played at Reales in Dominican Rep. LNB. He helped them to win the league title. The other team Malloy played that season for was Pioneros Los Mochis in Mexican CIBACOPA. In 19 games he averaged 12.3ppg, 8.7rpg (#4 in the league) and 1.9bpg. Another team he played shortly was Gaiteros in Venezuelan LPB. In only one game he had 8 points, 3 rebounds and 1 block. Malloy received SBC All-State Honorable Mention award back in 2004 at his college time.
Malloy is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Argentina (Sionista), Bahrain (Muharraq), Jordan (Zain), Lebanon, Syria (Al Jaish), Uruguay and Dominican Republic (Enriquillo).
Malloy attended University of New Orleans until 2006 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.
