In an interview of Carlos Martha, manager of Go Sports, to the city of Cucuta media, some news about the future of the Pro-Basketball was released. Martha confirmed that the project includes two professional tournaments each year, for the 2013 the first tournament will start on February 22 and will finish close to June 15, the second tournament could start in the last week of July and going up to the month of November. Eight teams will play in the first tournament, the names of the teams are not disclosed yet, the organization is having meetings with the candidates, the main sponsor for this project is Directv, and will cover all the expenses in the road games and will give the teams clothing. One the most important announces was that the tournament will include two under 21 years old players in each team, at least one of them should be included in each game. Othe revelation was that the champions of both tournaments within the year will play a playoff to get the one to participate in the Southamerican League, the organization will ask to the Southamerican authorities to give one more place to the country in the future.

He had a double-double of 28 points and 16 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Bambuqueros (#1, 14-5) 83-99. Aguilas maintains the 6th position in Colombian league. He just recently signed at Aguilas, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Mississippi State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Smith is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 9.5rpg) and averages solid 58.9% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Darrin Dorsey (188-PG) of top-ranked Bambuqueros. He is American guard in his first season at Bambuqueros. In the last game Dorsey recorded impressive double-double of 19 points and 13 assists. Of course he lead Bambuqueros to another comfortable win 99-83 over the lower-ranked Aguilas (#6, 5-14) being unquestionably team leader. Of course Bambuqueros still keep the league's top spot. His team has currently 14-5 record. Dorsey is one of the most experienced players at Bambuqueros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to guard Edgar Moreno (190-G-81, agency: Dream Team Management) of Piratas (#3). Moreno showcased his all-around game by recording 14 points, five rebounds and thirteen assists (!!!) in the last round. He was a key player of Piratas, leading his team to a 111-91 easy win against #4 ranked Once Caldas in a game of the week. Piratas needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 8 lost games. Moreno has a great season in Colombia. After 45 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.6apg (best passer).

Nicholas Covington (188-G-85) of Bucaros - 31 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists 6. Justin Garris (196-F/G-89) of Once Caldas - 26 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists 7. Cesar Chavez Jacobo (196-PG-85) of Academia - 27 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists 8. Stalin Ortiz (190-G-81) of Bambuqueros - 29 points and 4 rebounds 9. John Hernandez (207-C-84) of Bucaros - 15 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists 10. Lawrence Gilbert (200-F-86) of Bucaros - 30 points and 2 rebounds
The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
