According to the main Manizales newspaper, Guillermo Moreno the best Colombian coach , is close to agreed a contract with the Manizales OC to be its head coach for the upcoming 2013 season, that will have the first Professional Division Tournament.
Manizales has been like a second home for the coach Moreno, he coached for several years the Sabios de Manizales one of the most succesfull organizations of its time, and for the Manizales people the arrival of Moreno will have a great meaning and will be key for the future of the Manizales OC in the Colombian Pro-Basketball.
Moreno spent the last 4 years of his career coaching the Indervalle team and the teams of the Valle League.

The most exciting game of round 18 in the Liga DirecTV took place in Montana. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Condores (8-10) to second ranked Academia (11-7) 81-78 on Wednesday evening. Academia looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Givens' 30-point game gives him Player of the Week award - 30 minutes ago
29-year old guard Brandon Givens (198-G-87) put on an amazing game in the last round for Piratas and receives a Player of the Week award for round 17. He had the game-high 30 points adding four rebounds and three assists for Piratas in his team's victory, helping them to beat Aguilas (5-13) 97-85. Liga DirecTV round 17 most important game was a victory of Piratas over 7th ranked Patriotas 97-85 on Tuesday night. The game was mostly controlled by Piratas. Patriotas managed to win fourth quarter 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
