The game between Top Four teams took place in Cundinamarca. One of their biggest challengers host Condores (8-10) lost to third ranked Bucaros (12-6) 94-83. American Tayron Thomas (191-84, college: Philadelphia) scored 30 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Daniel Sapp (193, college: California, PA) chipped in 21 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Stalin Ortiz (190-81, college: Valparaiso) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. Condores' coach Tomas Diaz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bucaros have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 12-6 record having just three points less than leader Academia. Condores at the other side keep the fourth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Sabios and Halcones. Bucaros are looking forward to face Halcones (#5) in Cucuta in the next round. Condores will play on the road against Sabios in Manizales and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Canadian forward Dwayne Smith (198-89, college: G.Washington) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and Juan Fajardo supported him with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds by the former international center John Hernandez (207-84) did not help to save the game for Sabios. Academia have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-3 record. Sabios lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Condores and Halcones. Academia will play against bottom-ranked Piratas (#8) in Bogota in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sabios will play at home against Condores (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Cimarrones will meet Patriotas (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Piratas will play against the league's leader Academia in Montana and hope to secure a win.

In the last game of round 18 Aguilas won against Halcones on the opponent's court 66-52.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 22 points by Cesar Cortes of Cimarrones.

Cimarrones - Piratas 80-63

Second ranked Cimarrones (13-5) crushed at home 8th ranked Piratas (2-16) by 17 points 80-63, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. Cimarrones dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Piratas' 38. They outrebounded Piratas 52-30 including a 22-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Cimarrones looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Brandon Sperling (196-90, college: Humboldt St.) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Cesar Cortes (200-81) chipped in 22 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Sperling is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Cimarrones' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Franklin Forbes (180) who recorded 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Brandon Givens (198-87, college: NC-Wesleyan) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Five Piratas players scored in double figures. Cimarrones maintains second position with 13-5 record having just two points less than leader Academia. Loser Piratas stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Cimarrones will meet Patriotas (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Piratas will play against the league's leader Academia in Montana and hope to secure a win.

There was a minor upset in Cucuta where 5th ranked Halcones (8-10) were defeated by seventh ranked Patriotas (6-12) 66-52 on Saturday. Patriotas held Halcones to an opponent 23.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.5 percent accuracy of the winners. The best player for the winners was American forward Titus Mims (201, college: Hardin-Simmons) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds. The other American import power forward Aramie Brooks (203-87, college: Northwestern St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks. Brooks is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Venezuelan swingman Hector Diaz (197-92) who recorded 14 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Sean Harris (201, college: Utah St.) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Halcones' coach tested ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains seventh position with 6-12 record. Loser Halcones dropped to the fourth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Sabios and Condores. Patriotas will meet at home league's second-placed Cimarrones in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
