T.J. Sapp
American-Jamaican T.J. Sapp (190-G-92, agency: Duran International) had a great game in the last round for Bucaros and that's him to receive a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 23-year old guard had the game-high 36 points adding four rebounds and five assists for Bucaros in his team's victory, helping them to crush Halcones (#5, 9-11) with 16-point margin 112-96. Bucaros maintains the 3rd position in Colombian Liga DirecTV. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Bucaros will need more victories to improve their 13-7 record. In the team's last game Sapp had a remarkable 90.0% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He just recently signed at Bucaros, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Murray State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Sapp is in league's top in points (3rd best: 22.9ppg) and averages solid 2.3spg,62.1% FGP and 43.8% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was -year old American forward Titus Mims (201-F) of Aguilas. Mims impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 15 rebounds. Of course Aguilas cruised to a 72-63 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Cimarrones (#2, 14-6). Aguilas' 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-13 record. Mims is one of the most experienced players at Aguilas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.4ppg (#2). He also registered 9.4 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was former international center John Hernandez (207-C-84) of Sabios (#4). Hernandez scored 19 points and grabbed seventeen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Sabios, leading his team to a 93-71 easy win against Condores (9-11). The chances of Sabios ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 11 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Hernandez could help Sabios to bring them higher in the standings. Hernandez has a great season in Colombia. After 20 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.7rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 1.2apg (7th best). He also has 1.4bpg and FGP: 50.5%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Tyquane Goard (201-F-93) of Cimarrones - 17 points and 20 rebounds
5. Jonathan Rodriguez (196-F-87) of Academia - 30 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Jorge Leon (188-PG-79) of Halcones - 23 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Aramie Brooks (203-F/C-87) of Aguilas - 23 points and 9 rebounds
8. Brandon Givens (198-G-87) of Piratas - 25 points and 7 rebounds
9. Shamar Coombs (185-G-86) of Sabios - 26 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Cory Bradford (191-G-78) of Sabios - 22 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
