The Regular Season in Liga DirecTV is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 4 rounds.

The most important game in the last round took place in Manizales between second ranked Cimarrones (16-8) and fourth ranked Sabios (12-12) on Saturday night. Cimarrones were defeated by Sabios in a tough game on the road 63-67. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sabios made 10 blocks. The best player for the winners was the former international center John Hernandez (207-84) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. American guard Cory Bradford (191-78, college: Illinois) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Tyquane Goard (201-93, college: Marshall) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Sabios maintains fourth position with 12-12 record, which they share with Halcones. Cimarrones at the other side keep the second place with eight games lost. Sabios is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Piratas (#8) in Bogota in the next round. Cimarrones will play at home against Condores (#6) and are hoping to win this game.
Leader Academia delivered the twenty first victory. This time they beat 7th ranked Patriotas (8-16) 89-81 in Montana. It was a good game for Puerto Rican-Dominican forward Jonathan Rodriguez (196-87, college: Campbell) who led his team to a victory with 35 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Tyler Murray contributed with 11 points and 7 assists for the winners. Academia's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American power forward Aramie Brooks (203-87, college: Northwestern St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds for Patriotas. Academia (21-3) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Defending champion Patriotas keep the seventh place with 16 games lost. Academia will play against Halcones (#5) in Cucuta in the next round. Patriotas will play at home against Bucaros and hope to get back on the winning track.
The game in Cundinamarca was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Halcones (12-12) played at the court of 6th ranked Condores (9-15). Halcones managed to secure a 5-point victory 84-79 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of R.J. McGhee who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Stalin Ortiz with 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals. Halcones have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sabios. Condores lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 15 games lost. Halcones will meet league's leader Academia in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Condores will play against the league's second-placed Cimarrones (#2) in Quibdo-Choco and hope to secure a win.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Bucaramanga. Local Bucaros (14-10) outscored 8th ranked Piratas (4-20) 90-53. The winners were led by Michael Jackson who scored that evening 20 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bucaros maintains third position with 14-10 record having seven points less than leader Academia. Piratas at the other side stay dead last with 20 lost games. Bucaros' next round opponent will be Patriotas (#7) in Boyaca. Piratas will play at home against Sabios and hope to win that game.

Bucaros - Piratas 90-53

The game with biggest result difference took place in Bucaramanga. Local Bucaros (14-10) outscored 8th ranked Piratas (4-20) 90-53. The winners were led by international swingman Michael Jackson (197-87) who scored that evening 20 points and 9 rebounds and international point guard Leonardo Salazar (178) supported him with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Bucaros players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds by American swingman Antonio Davis (196-82, college: Urbana) did not help to save the game for Piratas. His fellow American import forward Arnold Fripp (201-93, college: Coppin St.) added 8 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bucaros' next round opponent will be Patriotas (#7) in Boyaca. Piratas will play at home against Sabios and hope to win that game.
