Academia had a bad first half including its worst quarter of the season scoring just 9 points in the second but a powerfull reaction in the second half gives them its first victory in the semifinal playoffs 88 - 79.
Sabios began doing a good job in defense , Juan Herrera (197-F-81) and John Hernandez did the right job in the boards and Herrera pulling Perez out of the zone to finish the first half 3 points ahead.
Academia as usual was depending too much on Jonathan Rodriguez (196-F-87, college: Campbell, agency: DTMones) and the scoring guard keep fighting but forced to take too many threes, something that is not his main strength.
In the second half Academia thanks specially to Michael Hinestroza Javes (208-F-90, college: UALR) took total control of the rebounds and began to run with Smith , Murray and Rodriguez, while Sabios miss Cory Bradford scoring depending on Herrera, Shamar Coombs (185-G-86, college: Texas A&M-CC) and Adison Blandon, as the seconds goes Sabios began to feel the effort and his energy decreased allowing the locals to control the game to win the game

ACADEMIA 88 - J. Rodriguez 32 pts + 10 rebs, M. Hinestroza 16 pts + 14 rebs, T. Murray 16 pts, D. Smith 14 pts, C. Arboleda 6 pts, D. Perez 4 pts.
SABIOS 79 - J. Herrera 20 pts, S. Coombs 11 pts, A. Blandon 15 pts, J. Hernandez 10 pts + 14 rebs, C. Bradford 11 pts, B. Aguaslimpias 4 pts, J. Velez 2 pts,
