Rodrigo
Caicedo
After just 10 days of practices and 2 warm up games the Colombian National Team Began to write His story in the Southamerican Championship in Caracas, the first game was Against an illustrious Uruguay National Team That bring MOST of Their best players leaded by the exNBA Esteban Batista and by Bruno Fitipaldo
Colombia start the Game with Rodrigo Caicedo (180-PG-88) as point guard, Stalin Ortiz and Michael Jackson as wings and Divier Perez and John Hernandez in the paint.
As Uruguay first intention was to try and found Batista rolling after the pick or posting up the national team played to correct defense double teaming the high pick and helping in the low post, move the ball and fight the offensive boards were the offensive support of Colombia That HAD Perez, Jackson and Ortiz leading the charge, Uruguay HAD Haller coming from the bench to lead the climbing.
But in the second half Uruguay change ITS strategy and move the ball and the players With more dynamic to find open shots That made the difference, Uruguay shot for a 44% beyond the arc, in defense Uruguay close the gaps to force Colombia to shot from the outside, Colombia still did not let go but the difference Uruguay Were Uruguayan short and a last push in the last quarter was enough to gives them a 6 points lead and win the game.
Colombia best player in the game Were Rodrigo Caicedo.

Uruguay 60 - Fitipaldo 15pts, Haller 14, Aguiar 13pts, Calfani 5pts, Batista 4pts, Barrera 3pts, Parodi 3pts, Wachsmann 3pts.

COLOMBIA 72 VS PUERTO RICO 91 Colombia failed to repeat against Puerto Rico the good performance of the previous day, the Puerto Rican 5 had a 58% average beyond the arc, mostly thanks to a great ball movement, but also because took advantage that the Local defense helped too much in low post situations allowing Puerto Rican shooters to find open shots.
