Academia won the first game of the Liga Directv 2016 finals at home, the green team found its rhythm and his natural leader Jonathan Rodriguez (196-F-87, college: Campbell, agency: DTMones) was unstoppable scoring beyond the arc in the fastbreak and slashing the zone.
Bucaros began with good energy in the offensive but without a half court scheme Tayron Thomas (191-SG-84, college: Philadelphia)s lead the first quarter Bucaros offense but had to leave the game very early with a sprained ankle changing the game.
Academia found his rhythm in the second quarter building a 12points lead at the half, Divier Perez (201-F/C-89) and Michael Hinestroza Javes (208-F-90, college: UALR) began to control the paint for the rebounds and scoring making the difference.
Bucaros react for the second half, Michael Jackson (197-F/G-87) took the offensive load and with lot of second chances, 19 second chance points, the visitors cut the difference to 9 points also Luis Almanza (196-F-91) helped with the scoring, but Academias size was still the main issue to his rivals that did not had a way to stop them close to the basket.
