Brenes Barva claimed the ninth National title. They edged Coopenae ARBA 75:68 in the Final. Carlos Quesada (198-C-85) stepped up with 16 points and 14 rebounds to pace the champions.
Brenes Barva jumped to an early lead. The Apertura champions grabbed a 24:16 lead ten minutes into the game. They stayed in charge throughout the second term. Brenes Barva secured a 48:35 halftime advantage. They maintained the lead throughout the third term. Brenes Barva accumulated a 61:53 lead heading into the fourth quarter. They protected the advantage and marched to the title. Jaythelv Davis (184-G-85) netted 15 points, while Kay Martinez (198-G-84, college: Jackson St.) added 10 points in the victory. Daniel Simmons (194-F/C-80) answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds for Coopenae. Georgio Milligan (187-PG, college: Franklin & Marshall) had 14 points in the loss.

LBS Round 5: ARBA beats Grecia in the most crucial game of the week - 2 days ago
Here is the last round review presented by ESL. An exciting game was played in San Jose. Leader ARBA faced 3rd placed Grecia. Host ARBA (4-0) smashed guests from Grecia (3-2) 81-51. ARBA held Grecia to an opponent 22.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.8 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Grecia 62-40 including a 48-30 advantage in defensive rebounds. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Escazu (2-1) in San Jose on Sunday night. It's still too early stage of the Regular Season in LBS, but even now we can clearly see the differece between stronger teams and outsiders. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. An exciting game was played in Grecia. Escazu faced Grecia. Guests from San Jose (4-0) defeated host Grecia (4-2) 77-63. Escazu made 26-of-26 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game.
