Argentina recorded a comfortable win over Cuba on the second day of Oscar Moglia Cup in Uruguay. Pablo Espinoza (195-F-87) stepped up with 22 points to lead the effort. Argentina improved at 2-0 record, while Cuba fell at 0-2.
Argentina limited their opponents to just 8 points in the opening frame to pile up an 11-point buffer. The margin kept on growing throughout the second stanza. Argentina ensured a comfortable 19-point lead at the interval 38:19. The teams exchanged baskets throughout the third term. Argentina entered the fourth frame up by as many as 19 points and never looked back en route to the victory. Marcos Mata (202-F-86) notched 15 points, while Alejandro Alloatti (203-F/C-84) had 13 points in the win. Orestes Torres (202-C-87) replied with 11 points for Cuba. Yorman Polas (192-F-85) had 10 points in the losing effort.

Former international Swingman Andy Boffil (190-G/F-82) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Villa Clara, receiving a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7. The 34-year old player was the main contributor (35 points) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Matanzas (#5, 3-4) 98-85. It allowed Villa Clara to consolidate first place in the Cuban LSB. LSB top team - Villa Clara (7-0) managed to deliver another win on Thursday. This time they beat sixth ranked Guerreros (3-4) in Santa Clara 98-85. The game was mostly controlled by Villa Clara. Guerreros managed to win second period 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Villa Clara shot 63.6 percent from the field.
