Argentina recorded a comfortable win over Cuba on the second day of Oscar Moglia Cup in Uruguay. Pablo Espinoza (195-F-87) stepped up with 22 points to lead the effort. Argentina improved at 2-0 record, while Cuba fell at 0-2.
Argentina limited their opponents to just 8 points in the opening frame to pile up an 11-point buffer. The margin kept on growing throughout the second stanza. Argentina ensured a comfortable 19-point lead at the interval 38:19. The teams exchanged baskets throughout the third term. Argentina entered the fourth frame up by as many as 19 points and never looked back en route to the victory. Marcos Mata (202-F-86) notched 15 points, while Alejandro Alloatti (203-F/C-84) had 13 points in the win. Orestes Torres (202-C-87) replied with 11 points for Cuba. Yorman Polas (192-F-85) had 10 points in the losing effort.

Importadora Alvarado Ambato (National League) tabbed 25-year old Cuban swingman Marvin Cairo (201-95kg-91, agency: Pro Sports). He played in the summer at CAN Oruro in Bolivia Libobasquet. Cairo managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). He also played that season for Capitalinos in Cuba LSB where in 13 games he averaged 10.1ppg, 3.5rpg, 2.4apg and 1.5spg.
