Villa Clara reach the Finals - 19 hours ago
Villa Clara reached the Finals as they overcame Camaguey 3-1 in the semifinal series. In Game 4 Villa Clara posted a 94-74 win. They scored 26 points in the first two quarters for a 52-35 halftime advantage. Camaguey replied with a 23-20 rally in the third period, while Villa Clara closed the game with a final 22-16 run to seal the place in the final. Santiago De Cuba meanwhile needed a 98=88 overtime win to tie the series at 2-2.   [read more]

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Cuban players, who play currently abroad. This week's number one is an international center Jasiel Rivero (204-93, agency: Pro Sports). He could not help Estudiantes Concordia (12-18) in their last game. In Game 2 they posted an 83-69 victory as RODRIGUEZ A Yasser and Raudelis Guerra (191-G-93) nailed 17 points each in a win. Esteban Martinez (192-F-87) replied with 33 points in the losing effort.
