Cuba spoiled Nicaraguas opener at the 2012 Centrobasket. Cuba improved to 1-1 record after 80:47 win in Day 2.
Cuba started with 18:12 in the opening period and never looked behind after. The winners added massive 24-8 in the second period for 42:20 at the halftime. Moreover Cuba produced a 19-14 surge in the third frame and did not even think of slowing down. They finished the game with 19-13 in the last period to seal the victory.
Tomorrow Nicaragua will face Puerto Rico, while Cuba will have a day-off.
Lisvan Valdez (195-G/F-88) erupted with 34 points and 11 rebounds, while Yoannis Soria (196-G/F-86) netted 15. Orestes Torres (203-C-87) delivered 10 and Rodriguez Yaser scored 8. Vansdell Thomas (179-G-86) finished the game with 9 points in defeat and Windell Sloan (195-F/C-87) notched 8.

Ciego de Avila - Capitalinos 66:60 Ciego de Avila repeated as the LSB champions. They handed Capitalinos the fourth straight defeat in the series and got away with the trophy.
