Aurteneche Maquinaria Euskadi (LEB Silver) added to their roster 31-year old Cuban ex-international forward Georvys Elias (199-103kg-81). Elias played for the last two years at Tenerife Baloncesto in EBA. However his team was relegated to 1 Division. In 24 EBA games he had 13.0ppg, 8.3rpg, 1.8apg and 1.5spg last season. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to All-LEB Silver Honorable Mention.
He was a member of Cuban Senior National Team between 2000 and 2009. Elias also represented Cuba at the CBC Championships in Tortilla (BVI) three years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were : 5 games: 10.0ppg, Reb-5 (6.0rpg), FGP-1 (70.4%), 3PT: 20.0%, FT: 40.0%..

The most important game in the last round took place in La Habana between third ranked Tigres (4-4) and fourth ranked Capitalinos (5-3) on Sunday night. Tigres were defeated by Capitalinos on the road 71-61. The game was mostly controlled by Capitalinos. Tigres managed to win fourth quarter 18-15. Here is the weekly review of the top performing Cuban players, who play currently abroad. This week's number one is an international center Javier Justiz (205-92, agency: Pro Sports). Former international Swingman Andy Boffil (190-G/F-82) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Villa Clara, receiving a Player of the Week award for round 7. The 34-year old player was the main contributor (35 points) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Matanzas (#5, 3-4) 98-85. It allowed Villa Clara to consolidate first place in the Cuban LSB.
