Ciego de Avila earned the LSB title. They defeated Capitalinos 68:64 to sweep the Finals. The victory marked the ninth championship success for Ciego de Avila.
Ciego de Avila stayed in charge throughout the first half. They boosted the gap in the third term. Ciego de Avila entered the final stanza up by 8 points 48:40. Capitalinos pulled within three points early in the final period. But Ciego de Avila increased the tempo and marched to the tough victory at the end. Joan Luis Haiti (200-C-82, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 16 points to lead the winners. Yasser Rodriguez (187-PG-88) and William Granda (189-SG-85, agency: Pro Sports) provided 13 points each for the champions. Reinier Castillo (185-F/G-76) responded with 17 points for Capitalinos.

Ciclista Juninense (TNA) signed 22-year old Cuban international forward Karel Guzman (188-95). He played this summer at Capitalinos in Cuban LSB league. In 14 games he had very impressive stats: 17.4ppg, 3.1rpg, 1.6apg and 2.8spg. Guzman helped them to make it to the semifinals. Quite impressive season as he was named to Latinbasket.com All-Cuban LSB 2nd Team. He also played that season for Capitalinos in Cuban league.
