Former international Swingman Andy Boffil (190-G/F-82) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Villa Clara, receiving a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 34-year old player was the main contributor (35 points) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Matanzas (#5, 3-4) 98-85. It allowed Villa Clara to consolidate first place in the Cuban LSB. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Villa Clara keeps a perfect 7-0 record. In the team's last game Boffil had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Villa Clara, through which he has constantly improved. Andy Boffil has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 29.7ppg) and averages impressive 4.1spg,64.0% FGP and 44.2% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was -year old Lazro Sanchez of Matanzas. Sanchez had a very good evening with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.7ppg (7th best) and assists with 2.6apg (4th best). He also has 4.4spg and FGP: 58.7%.
