Esteban
Martinez
Osvaldo Perez had a great game in the last round for league's best team Villa Clara and receives a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Guantanamo (#7, 0-8) with 17-point margin 97-80. It allowed Villa Clara to consolidate first place in the Cuban league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Villa Clara keeps a perfect 10-0 record. In the team's last game Perez had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Villa Clara's top player in his first season with the team. Perez has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 6.1rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg,4.8spg and 56.6% FGP.

He was another key player of Villa Clara, helping his team with a 97-80 easy win against Guantanamo (#7, 0-8). Villa Clara have amazing season winning all 10 games without a single defeat. Cubillas turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Cubillas has a great season in Cuba. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.0rpg (#1 in league). He also has 5.2spg, 2.2bpg and FGP: 58.8%.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
