Pinar del Rio - Capitalinos 70-62

Pinar del Rio overcame Capitalinos to take 1-0 lead in the series. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 19-10. But Capitalinos won third quarter 23-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international center Elieser Quintana (205-91) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Osmel Oliva (178-87) chipped in 17 points and 5 steals. At the losing side the former international forward Esteban Martinez (192-87) responded with 36 points (!!!) and international forward Karel Guzman (188-95) scored 13 points. Capitalinos' coach Rainel Panfet rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help.
