Villa Clara - Matanzas 80-91

Matanzas beat Villa Clara to take 2-0 lead in the series. The guests trailed by 13 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-80. Guerreros made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Guerreros outrebounded Villa Clara 33-17 including 20 on the defensive glass. Yosniel Moralez orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Yoan Rodriguez contributed with 16 points for the winners. Guerreros' coach Jemmott Allen used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International center Yoel Cubillas (204-94) replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Osvaldo Perez added 14 points and 5 steals in the effort for Villa Clara. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Pinar del Rio - Capitalinos 54-64

Capitalinos overcame Pinar del Rio to even the series at 1-1. Pinar was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 45-32 second half run of Capitalinos. They outrebounded Pinar 36-16 including a 27-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international forward Esteban Martinez (192-87) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Reinier Castillo (185-76) chipped in 17 points and 8 steals during the contest. Capitalinos' coach Rainel Panfet let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international point guard Osmel Oliva (178-87) responded with 26 points and Uruguayan Daniel Martinez scored 5 points.
