Matanzas rolled past Pinar del Rio to cut the deficit in the title series. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 21-12 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Guerreros outrebounded Pinar 27-13 including 19 on the defensive glass. The former international center Humberto Garcia (203-85) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Yosniel Morales (196-87) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Osmel Oliva (178-87) answered with 31 points and 5 assists and the former international point guard Yosiel Monterrey (185-88) added 11 points in the effort for Pinar. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
